MAISON THE FAUX – AW16 – ‘Annaanna-Annaanna’

In January 2016 Maison the Faux presented their AW16 collection ‘ANNAANNA-ANNAANNA’ during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. As every season a crazy and fabulous performance. This time Maison the Faux turned the collection presentation into a complete fashion week madness experience. The crowd was lined up between fences, waiting and not knowing what to expect on the end in the silver mirrored house. Meanwhile, during waiting in the line, a complete chaos was created by the Maison the Faux crew.

This season we collaborated with Texperium for recycled yarn. The yarn is made of 40% recycled post-consumer jeans. For this collection we developed two jacquards. Inspired by wrinkled silver paper we created a jacquard with 3D effect. As yarn we used a shiny silver lurex + white polyester together with the recycled yarn of Texperium + lycra. This jacquard is used for a long sleeve top and legging. For the second knit we created a two color jacquard with MTF logo print. For the long sleeve top and legging we used the recycled yarn together with 100% nude mercerised cotton. The scarf, which is mirrored on the half of its length is made of 100% black merino wool and 100% nude mercerised cotton.
