TIMNA WEBER – “199Z Diversity Revisited

For the “199Z Diversity Revisited” collection of Timna Weber, Knitwear Lab developed various tops and bottems which where Shown at Saatchi Gallery 2018, a fashion show organized by the London School Of Economics.

Timna challenges the perception of how clothing today is seen as something finished and proposes an alternative design system whereby clothing can be transformed and updated over time. She proposes garments as starting points rather than finished products. Garments that can continuously transform with their wearer and are not, per se, finished. With this new approach, Timna hopes to elongate the lifespan of garments and contest the enormous amount of discarded clothing generated by the fashion industry.
