3D Virtual Modeler

KNITWEAR LAB – ISTANBUL is on the lookout for a 3D Virtual Modeler to create graphic artworks, design and model virtual knitwear.


KNITWEAR LAB is a young fast-growing company with a head office in Almere, The Netherlands and a production LAB in Istanbul, Turkey. We design, develop and produce knitwear for international designers, prominent brands and technical purposes. Our head office in The Netherlands is focused on research, design and product development. At our LAB in Istanbul, we take care of high-quality productions in small quantities. Besides, KNITWEAR LAB has its own brand, offering our own collection of scarves, socks and other knitted accessories. Since both our LABs are growing, we are on the lookout to expand our team with new talent.


Job description

As a 3D Virtual Modeler you will be the translator of ideas into 3D visuals and help to link different processes together. You will be working closely together with our LAB in Almere. This means you need to have good communication skills in English and a certain ease with working on platforms like Microsoft Teams or Slack. We are working on integrating a 3D workflow at both of our LABS, by using 3D technology to enhance the knitting process and visualize the products for our clients.

What we ask:

* You live in Istanbul – speak Turkish and English
* Strong verbal and written skills in English
* You have experience with 2D and 3D modeling
* Excellent skills with 3D modeling software (at least one of the following: VStitcher, Clo3D, Blender, Rhino, Cinema4D, Maya, FormZ)
* High level of skills with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
* Ease with working on platforms like Microsoft Teams or Slack
* Willingness to engage in fashion
* Interest in design
* Multidisciplinary and able to think out of the box
* A strong attention to detail as well as a hard-working, hands-on mentality
* The ability to take initiative and work independently
* An open minded and inclusive attitude

It would be a great advantage if you have:
* knowledge of pattern making
* knowledge of knitting/fashion
